Looking Ahead

Being involved in Capstone and having this community when I first step foot on campus is what I believe helped streamline my involvement on campus. I was always encouraged as a new student by members in the community to push myself, and now through my further involvement with the Capstone Office or through other Capstone Scholars, I am confident in my abilities to lead and try new opportunities. Capstone has helped push myself out of my comfort zone with Personal Challenges and goals, and I know that is something I want to continue to do. In the next two years, I hope to have developed myself personally through studying abroad in other nations and through learning about different cultures, and furthermore I hope to have held membership or other leadership positions in organizations or jobs that can help push me academically and professionally, as I hope to attend Law School.

Hello!

A Bit About Me

I'm a rising Junior at the University of South Carolina majoring in Public Health and am originally from Orlando, Florida––home to the best theme parks!

Throughout my time at the University of South Carolina, I have involved myself in University Ambassadors, Pillars for Carolina, Capstone Scholars and have held membership positions in Phi Mu, Phi Alpha Delta and Omicron Delta Kappa. Leading into my Junior year, I am pleased to have been selected to participate in the Dean's Advisory Committee, and serve as a University 101 Peer Leader.

The Capstone Impact

Coming off to UofSC, I had few ideas on what I wanted to be involved in on campus, or even how to get involved. Living in the Capstone House helped connect me with student leaders, and my Capstone specific University 101 class introduced me to programs on campus and how to succeed in college. Through Hot Cookie Fridays I have been able to connect with offices and leaders on campus, and further get involved.
